Engaging in Knowledge Mobilization
Research Coach Poster – Fall 2023
Created and presented a poster on the article “Rapid Authentication of Coffee Bean Varieties of Different Forms by Using a Pocket-Sized Spectrometer and Multivariate Data Modelling” (Boadu et al., 2022). This poster was presented publicly as part of my CHEM 2100 class, and was evaluated by my professor and the research coaches.

Enzyme Tales Video – Winter 2024
I created an educational video on the enzyme urease as part of my BIOL 3130 course for the open-access textbook Enzyme Tales. This resource communicates biochemical concepts to a broad student audience, contributing to knowledge mobilization through digital resources.
CSM 73rd Annual Conference – Summer 2024
Presented my research poster, “Ecological Drivers of Microbial Community Composition Along River Networks of Western Canada,” at the national Canadian Society of Microbiology (CSM) conference in London, Ontario. This experience exposed me to diverse research perspectives and developed my confidence in communicating my own research to an expert audience.

SUPER Conference – Winter 2025
Presented my research poster as part of my Directed Studies project, showcasing findings on microbial community diversity and environmental chemistry. I delivered the presentation to faculty members for formal evaluation and to science students across all years and experience levels.

TRU URIC – Winter 2025
I presented a poster titled “Exploring the Effects of River Sediment Chemical Composition on Microbial Community Diversity Across British Columbia’s River Networks” at the TRU Undergraduate Research and Innovation Conference. This event strengthened my ability to communicate research to both peers and faculty across various disciplines.
